Okay, I am finally getting around to blogging about this experience, I have been waiting on the pictures.

I spoke on my first ever panel in San Francisco at the Cybernet Expo almost two weeks ago. The topic was Opportunities for women in the adult industry. I was nervous, more nervous than If I had to get up on that stage and shoot ping pong balls out of my vagina trying to hit a bulls eye, That actually would have been easier than speaking in front of my peers and colleages. I had no idea I could work up such a sweat sitting still. ( sweat fetish bonus for me )  My heart was actually skipping beats!!!  I tried to control my breathing but, somehow thinking about the next question’s answer and breathing seemed overwhelming, and impossible to do both at the same time.

So, I started offf a little shakey but, I bounced back nicely.  A women named Carol Queen Ph.D ( co founder of the Center for Sex and Culture ) inspired me, One of the questions was “Have you recieved any backlash from traditional feminist?” Suddenly the sexual revolution of the 70’s was brought up, I realized how fortunate I was to be part of the sexual revolution that is going on right now. I felt a great pride and a surge of confidence when I was reminded that in a way I am a feminist. Maybe not a traditional one, but, Just by owning my sexuality and having no shame and no regrets about my choices as an adult preformer, or as a woman for that matter.  The moderater Diane Duke ( Executive Director of the free speech coalition ) Also inspired me and made me blush when she complimented me.

 I was also truly inspired when I found out that another woman who spoke on the panel ( Honeylynn, FUBAR ) whom  I also look up to was once a preformer and ran her own solo girl website. At the end, we accepted questions from the audience and there was this one woman who must be in her 60’s her name is Lorret, she shared her own story with us about being a sex worker in San Francisco and her struggles back in the day long before unions exsited for such women! She was so very gracious in thanking everyone on the panel. She said “we’ve come a long way baby”  Not to be all sappy but I felt a tear well up.

I felt truly honored to have been selected to speak on a panel. I hope it is not my last. Oh and I did put a flower in my hair while I was there. =)

Hey I had an amazing time in Malibu watching Fireworks over the ocean last night!!!  It is nice to have friends with beachfront property!

I hope everyone had a Safe and Sane 4th of July. Oh I want to let everyone know that I am going to be shooting all this week, The new content on my site is going to be on Fire!!! Hahaha

I just want to let you guys know that I DID not miss my scheduled show!!! I don’t know what the hell happened, but I am a little angry. I have never made a mistake like that before, I am not Dyslexic, I mean it is possible but not likely.

I ALWAYS do my shows @ 9-10pm est or 10pm-11pm est -ALWAYS-  This is not the first time this has happened, when I was in Vegas they bummped me back an hour and had No rhyme or reason as to WHY??? It messed up my schedule, but I let it go,  It must have been a glitch or something but now I have people thinking I am a FLAKE and I can not have that. I do not know if this has happened to any other girls who CAM all day, every day, I will find out.

WELL, I guess I will se you later- @ 9pm EST !!!!!!!!!!!! hopefullly I do not get bumped again

Hey hey, I am doing a members cam show from my hotel room in San Francisco tomorrow @ 10pm est on CAMZ.com  It should be a good one, being near the ocean makes me insatible.  I love San Francisco, I have very fond memories from childhood of the city by the bay I still feel like a little girl everytime I return. I really am hoping to stay a few days and shoot some great content. I have soo much to do before I leave!!  Today I am going to get my Nails done and a Facial ,maybe some shopping for some thigh highs I put together this outfit and the only thing missing is thigh highs. Oh and then I have to pack. Again. Always traveling… oh I am also going to make Nachos with the leftover chili I made the other night.

I WON!!!!! I WON!!!!!  I am so excited!!  I am still in shock that I actually Won! Miss XBIZ Summer 2009!!! I smile from ear to ear every time I look at my tiarra.

 I had been practicing my Fire dance for weeks!!! I wanted it to be a surprise soo I kept it a secret. I Was soo nervous with butterflies in my stomach and a little shake in my fingers!! It was very windy and I was going to dance with Fire Fans, Two big metal fans with five wicks of flame that could burn up to three feet ( depending on the amount of kerosene that gets absorbed ) In all of my practice I had yet to dance in the wind, but still I felt really confident, considering.  I knew there was a bikini portion and a “talent” portion of the pagaent Or If you did not want to preform a “talent” you could take a question, well of course I wanted to do both, a question and a talent Why not??

So I was called up to the stage and the MC asked what my talent was, and I said “oh I am not prepared for that yet!” So I got the question. The question was ” If you were stranded on a deserted island what three things would you want to have with you?” I replied “A Man, a Woman, and some sunscreen what else do you need?”  The only reaction was from my friends who cheered for me. I was worried I would not get a chance to do my talent that I had worked my poor little hands in to bruises and blisters for!! I told them that I needed to return to the stage after the other girls were done. and they told me ok no problem. I had brought a CD with my music on it but wouldn’t you know it the DJ did not have a CD player!! He said he had my song( Sex on Fire ) in another version, ok The show must go on I thought. Finally It was my turn to set the stage on Fire!! One of my friends lit up my fans and handed them off to me on stage. I stumbled a bit so I decided to go barefoot and I kicked off my shoes, kicked one of them right into some poor guy’s balls!! opps! OFF to a good start…

 MY routine that was branded in to my brain was nowhere to be found!! I was blank!! and my music was not playing!! I had my dance choreographed to my Music!! So, I just when with it, totally freestyling, Dancing barefoot like a litle fire pixie just trying to keep the flames off of me!! Thank god I had drenched my hair with a water bottle minutes before stepping on to the stage. The photographers rushed the stage and some of them even crowded my space on stage! That’s okay they backed of after almost getting burned ;-)

It was a success!! Nobody got burned!! I threw out a  handful of ice when I was done dancing and struted down the steps off the stage. The judges had to tally up their votes. A few minutes later it was announced that there was a tie!! Oh NO!! a tie between Trisha Uptown and Ashley Fires !!!  It was decided that a dance off would decide the winner!! Trisha uptown immediately went to the judges table and started giving mini lapdances. Oh was I glad there was a stage with a stripper pole and those years of feature dancing really came in handy when I got up on that pole and started spinning and shaking my bootay =)

The judges voted again and guess what??? TIE AGAIN!!!! Wow REALLY?? AGAIN??  The crowd kept yelling out that we should just share the tittle and the crown. Hmmm “There can be only one, We only have one crown” the MC said.  In a secret ballot the true feelings of the judges came out> The MC announced That Ashley Fires was the winner of miss XBIZ Summer ‘09 !!!!!!!!! Yay!! She asked me how I felt and I said “I am excited!!”  The drop dead stunningly beautiful Niki Jayne ( last year’s winner ) crowned me and put the sash on me. I was then wisked away for interviews and pictures for about 45 minutes!! Sweaty and exhasted it was wonderful having so many hugs and kisses and congratulations!!!

I wore my tiarra that night to the players ball. I think this is the longest blog I have ever written - Thanks for reading. Untill next time,
