Rainy day woman
As far back as I can remember I have always loved the rain. One time when I was a young girl I double dog dared my friend to go streaking in the rain with me, she was too chicken. So, being the fearless youth I was I stripped down to nothing more than my little white canvas shoes and ran around splashing in puddles, laughing and dancing. Even though I caught a terrible cold it was all worth it. I return to this memory almost every time it rains.
Now that I am an adult living in Hollywood I rarely get to go streaking in the rain. Maybe it is because I am a pisces, but the rain is symbolic to me. Rain to me is cleansing, renewing, nurturing. The rain stirs up a surge of creativity and energy within me. My emotions and passions run so deep as if my heart itself is also raining. I like to imagine the filthy city streets and my soul are both being cleansed by the rain.
I think It time to once again be fearless and wild and free!! A tribute to saying yes when dared. I am going to strip down to nothing but my UGGs this time and go for a walk in the rain. Only this time it will be in the cloak of night and hopefully I won’t get arrested or held for mental evaluation. Hahaha
