Almost everyone I know has a maid. I have thought about it myself, I am sure it would free up plenty of time but, I feel like if I make a mess I should be the one to clean it up. I take pride in the fact that although I have a carreer I am able to keep a semi clean home, um when I am home.  Besides the omnipresent suitcase that looks like it has thrown up on my bedroom floor, Where it basically stays due to traveling so often, it makes no sense to put it away (in the closet) Ahhh the growing angry laundry monster in the closet that pleads for feeding, although it looks as if it has already eaten the hamper. I love my get pretty station- my vanity area with makeup, all of my perfumes,  an arsenal of beauty products and pictures, and little post it notes reminders all over the mirrors-  Yeah besides all that it is more or less clean, not having company over clean, but clean for me.

Today I cleaned my adorable antique stovetop, The kitchen, and the bathroom, did 4 loads of laundry, (upsetting the monster no doubt)  vacumed, dusted and made an awesome marinade for korean BBQ. -Sigh- I always envision that wonderful World War II Rosie the Riveter poster “We can do It”  and I rock out with the radio blasting. Something about cleaning makes me feel renewed. Now I think I will relax, maybe do some pilates followed by reading a book in the nice clean bathtub!
